Tracy Knowles, CMT, RYT, Massage Artist!

Training & Credentials

Tracy’s healing career began in 2002 when she started her first 700 hr Massage training at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood, CO.  She graduated in Sept of 2004 as a Certified Massage Therapist and began her private practice with clients immediately.  Tracy’s initial training focused on the basics of massage healing; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular and Sports Massage as well as an elective emphasis in Aromatherapy.

In 2005 she was introduced to the magical healing art of Hot Stones and was instantly in love. Her training and implementation of the stones were integrated without hesitation and are used in most sessions to this day.  It is here where she earned her title of ‘Massage Artist’.

In 2006, after practicing the basics for a couple of years, she was then informed of an advanced bodywork training called Year II at the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in Denver, CO.  This trainings’ curriculum focuses on joint mobilization, acupressure, myofascial release and the 10 sessions of Integration (aka ‘Rolfing’).  Tracy completed this 15 month training in Spring of 07’ and then re-enrolled again in 08’ for a re-audit and deeper understanding and application of this powerful and deeply transformative work.

She then went on to student teach at MTIC’s Year 1 program from the Fall of 09′ -2011 in the Anatomy/Physiology portion of the training.  This experience offered the opportunity to stay connected to this healing education that sparks so much inspiration, fascination and awe.  It was here that she was introduced to Cranio Sacral Therapy.  Tracy was hooked instantaneously and began to study and practice this subtle energy therapy.  She completed her first Cranio Sacral Training Level 1 through the Upledger Institute in August of 2011.

In addition, she completed her first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Karma Yoga in the Fall of 2011 where her focus was in deepening her understanding of yoga, it’s many facets and practical application for herself, loved ones and clients. In efforts to deepen and polish hers presence and skills as a yoga instructor, she then completed her second 200hr YTT training at Kindness Yoga in January 2013 with Buffy Barfoot.

Future modalities that Tracy is interested in studying is Therapeutic Yoga, Shamanic Healing and Dream Work.
